Microsoft may introduce Imagine Academy program to Uzbekistan

Uzbek Minister of Public Education (MoPE), Sherzod Shermatov, held talks with a delegation of Microsoft Corporation, Trend reports via Uzbek media.

The parties considered the current state and prospects of cooperation between the MoPE and Microsoft at the meeting.

Press service of MoPE stated that the sides discussed the possible participation of Microsoft in the IT-nation, aimed at increasing IT skills of the youth in Uzbekistan.

Microsoft representatives offered to consider introduction of the Imagine Academy program, which offers various training courses in information technologies.

Microsoft was founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen on April 4, 1975, to develop and sell BASIC interpreters for the Altair 8800.

Microsoft Corporation is an American multinational technology company with headquarters in Redmond, Washington. It develops, manufactures, licenses, supports and sells computer software, consumer electronics, personal computers, and related services.
