GM Uzbekistan exports first batch of cars to Kazakhstan

GM Uzbekistan company has started regular deliveries of Nexia R3 car kits for large-unit assemblies in Kazakhstan, Trend reports via Uzbek media.

"GM Uzbekistan exported the first batch of cars to Kazakhstan On March 16. The company will export Nexia R3 for a large-unit assembly to the SaryarkAvtoProm plant in Kostanay (Kazakhstan), as well as the finished R4 model to the Ravon Motors Kazakhstan dealer," the company noted.

Moreover, the company has exported cars to Afghanistan and Tajikistan since the beginning of this year.

Recently, GM Uzbekistan and Saryark AvtoProm LLP (Kazakhstan) signed a production development contract. The parties within the framework of the document have agreed to release 16,000 vehicles intended for sale up to the end of 2019, both in the market of Kazakhstan and in export markets, including the Russian Federation.

Furthermore, automakers discussed the creation of a joint venture, phased work to deepen localization, including on the automotive component base, continued cooperation on new competitive models, measures to improve the quality of products.

SKD assembly of the Ravon Nexia R3 sedan was launched At the Kazakhstani enterprise "SariarkaAvtoProm" in 2017. Capacity of assembly is about 3,000 cars a year, with the possible increase in production of up to 7,000 cars.
