Iran's exports via the borders of its Maragheh county in East Azerbaijan province amounted to $27 million in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2018-March 20, 2019), , Director General of the Iranian Customs Administration (IRICA) and Iranian Deputy Economy Minister Mehdi Mirashrafi said, Trend reports via IRNA.
Iran's main exports via Maragheh were glass, mirror, sodium carbonate, ammonium sulfate, raisins, apples and flour, as well as agricultural and processed products, Mirashrafi said.
Main export destinations were Iraq, Turkey, Georgia, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Italy, Spain, Greece, Pakistan, Romania, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, he added.
In the last year, Iran's trade balance was positive with $1.7 billion, the deputy minister said adding that the country's non-oil exports amounted $44.3 billion in the last year, while imports equaled to $42.6 billion.
However, Iran's exports has decreased 5.6 percent, mostly due to sanctions against the country, Mirashrafi added.
