Special economic zones of Kazakhstan to realize new projects

Roman Sklyar, The Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan commented on the future of special economic zones of Kazakhstan, Trend reports via the press office of the ministry.

“The total amount of projects operating on SEZ equals 183. Some 46 of them include the foreign participation. The number of created work places amounts to 15,500. Around 150 million tenge was returned into the country’s budget in the form of tax,” said the minister.

“The budget expenditures on the SEZ infrastructure construction amounted to 314.3 billion tenge, whereas the volume of attracted investments amounted to 910 billion tenge. Thus, one budget tenge allowed to attract 2.8 tenge of investments,” Roman Sklyar said.

“By 2021 some 147 projects worth over two trillion tenge are to be realized on the territories of SEZ. Thus, in 2019 some 36 projects worth over 160 billion tenge are to be realized. These 36 projects will create around 1,200 work places,” the statement said.

Some 168 projects of manufacturing are launched in the industrial zones. The investments of these projects are worth 183 billion tenge. Over 8,500 work places were created. Some 85.9 billion tenge were directed on the infrastructure of the industrial zones. Thus, one budget tenge allowed to attract 2.1 tenge of investments.

The number of projects to be realized in the industrial zone is 173 (520 billion tenge) and 40 of them (163 billion tenge) are to be realized this year.
