Iran’s Sarbaz County grows 1,500T of mango

As of today, 1,500 tons of mangoes have been harvested and sent to the consumer market in Sarbaz County of Iran’s southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Saeid Naroei, head of the agricultural department of Sarbaz County of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to Naroei, 600 hectares of the district’s gardens are used for growing mangoes.

Naroei added that 4,600 tons of mangoes will be grown in the county this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019).

"The garden and planting area of Sarbaz County makes up 17,500 hectares," he said.

Noting that the county ranked 1st in mango harvest among the counties of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Naroei said that about 4,000 people are employed in this field.
