The volume of registered car accidents in Kazakhstan amounted to 4,242 cases during the period of January-April 2019, which is 1.1 percent less than in the same period of the last year, Trend reports referring to Committee of Statistics of Kazakhstan.
The number of those injured during the accidents equaled to 6,237 people.
Some 398,794 passenger cars were registered during reporting period, which is 14.2 percent more than in the same period of previous year.
As of May 1, 2019, the total number of registered cars in Kazakhstan stood at 3.94 million units.
Furthermore, as of May 1, 2019, the volume of insurance payments by insurance companies on Mandatory Vehicle Owner’s Third Party Liability Insurance amounted to 25,610 cases worth 9.7 billion tenge.
