Insurance assets up in Kazakhstan

Total value of assets of insurance organizations of Kazakhstan amounted to 1.1 trillion tenge in June, which is 4.8 percent more than in the beginning of the year, Trend reports with reference to National Bank of Kazakhstan.

Similarly, liabilities of insurance organizations also increased by 3.4 percent compared to the beginning of the year and equaled to 600 billion tenge.

The value of insurance assets of insurance organizations formed for performing liabilities of existing agreements of insurance and reinsurance increased by 6.8 percent since the beginning of the year and equaled to 554.6 billion tenge.

Own capital of the organizations amounted to 499.1 billion tenge, which is 6.6 percent more than during the beginning of the year.

Insurance premiums increased by 23.7 percent in the reporting period, compared to the same period of last year and amounted to 208.7 billion tenge.

Insurance premiums in the life insurance sector increased by 89.4 percent in May compared to the same period of last year and amounted to 54.9 billion tenge.

The value of insurance premiums redirected on reinsurance amounted to 36.5 billion tenge, which is 17.5 percent of the total value of insurance premiums.

Total volume of insurance payments amounted to 54.4 billion tenge, which is 72.7 percent more than in the same period of last year.

Currently, there are 27 insurance organizations operating on the local market of Kazakhstan.
