Sugar plant worth over $225K to be launched in Kazakhstan

Construction of an Orda sugar plant in Kazakhstan’s Zhanaozen city of Mangystau region is nearing the end, Trend reports with reference to Kazakh media.

“Currently, the construction is 90 percent done. The plant is to be launched next month. The plant will be in operation 24 hours a day, and the employees will work in three shifts,” the report said.

“Raw materials will be imported from Russia. The capacity of the plant is to equal to 10 tons of product a day or 300 tons a month. The cost of the project is assessed at 86.6 million tenge ($225,200), and 48 new job places will be created,” the statement said.
