Revenues from exploitation of Azerbaijan’s Filizchay polymetallic deposit estimated at 9.5B AZN(Exclusive)

Azerbaijan’s Azergold CJSC has prepared a preliminary feasibility study document for the precious metals deposit of Filizchay, the gold mining company’s press service told Trend.

According to the preliminary feasibility study for the Filizchay field, more than 9.5 billion manats in revenue are expected to enter the Azerbaijani economy through AzerGold’s activities during the 27-year operation of the Filizchay field and the extraction of metals such as copper, silver, zinc and lead.

The preparation of the final feasibility study on the Filizchay field will be launched based on the results of the geological exploration works.

Filizchay deposit is one of the largest polymetallic deposits in Europe.

AzerGold CJSC, which commenced its activities in July 2016, is engaged in the study, research, exploration and management of precious and non-ferrous metal deposits, their mining, processing and sale, as well as the application of new technologies in this area, improving the material and technical base and fulfilling other works related to the development of this field.
