An enterprise for the production of decorative products from cast metal has been commissioned in Saparmyrat Nyyazow district of Turkmenistan’s Dashoguz region, Trend reports referring to the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.
The facility belongs to a company that is part of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET). The metal profiles, decorative products, and cast iron products produced here are intended for use in the construction of housing and other facilities.
The capacity of the enterprise is 6,552 tons of products per year. The structure of the complex also includes a warehouse for storage of finished products and shops.
The construction materials industry in Turkmenistan is gaining momentum. A powerful construction cluster is being created in the industrial zone of the settlement of Owadandepe located in Gokdepe district of Turkmenistan’s Ahal region. A metal-rolling and reinforcing steel production enterprise, a big aerated concrete plant, a marble and granite processing plant producing facing materials from local natural stone operate there.
The list of products manufactured by local construction companies includes facing stone, cement, bricks, non-metallic building materials, metal structures, plastic and fiberglass pipes.
The country's building materials sector prioritizes the production of cement of various grades, including Portland cement (sulfate-resistant cement), which is used in laying foundations, construction of bridge supports and other hydraulic structures, as well as grouting cement for the oil and gas industry.
