Over 8,000 companies eliminated in Kazakhstan

Some 8,000 small entities were eliminated in Kazakhstan following the end of 2Q2019, which means an increase of 85 percent in the number of eliminated companies compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the data of the project for monitoring of Kazakh economy Ranking.kz

According to the information, the largest number of eliminated companies was observed in Almaty (3,500 entities), Nur-Sultan (2,200 entities) and Karaganda region (304 entities).

Thus, 74.8 percent of the total volume of eliminated companies accounts for the mentioned above regions.

In turn, the least number of eliminated companies was in Mangystau and Kyzylorda regions (68 companies in each region).

The most companies were closed in retail, wholesale trade sectors, as well as those dealing with car, motorcycle repairs (3,400 entities).

It is followed by construction sector: 1,300 companies, which is three times more than the number of eliminated companies during the same period of last year.

The third place by the number of eliminated companies goes to ventures of professional, scientific, and technical activities (670 companies).

In addition, some 87.8 percent of the eliminated companies were economic partnerships.
