Uzbekistan’s UzAuto Motors company has sold more than 236,000 cars in nine months of 2019, Trend reports citing the automaker’s press service.
Of these, about 80,000 were realized only over the past two months. August broke a record when 40,971 cars were sold.
The most popular car was the Nexia 3; from the beginning of 2019, 54,056 models of this car were sold.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, from January through September 2019, the country produced more than 186,430 cars, which is 40.4 percent higher compared to the same period in 2018.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, the production of trucks increased by 33.2 percent up to 4,028 units in the reporting period.
The production of automobile engines in Uzbekistan as of end of 3Q2019 amounted to 140,200, showing an increase of 44.7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the reporting period, the volume of tractor production amounted to 1,099 units, which is 59.1 percent less compared to the same period in 2018.
