ADY Express company (a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC) has begun exporting the first cargo of urea produced at the SOCAR Carbamide plant, Trend reports citing ADY Express.

The cargo was transported in big bag containers of 800 kilograms each. The total weight was 1,984 tons. The urea was delivered by trucks from the plant to the Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev railway station, where it was loaded onto 40 railcars and sent off.

Together with a Georgian partner, GR Logistics and Terminals company, ADY Express transports urea to Batumi port. From there, the cargo will be delivered to the recipient in Latin America.

In the near future, there are plans to transport a bigger cargo of urea.

SOCAR Carbamide plant was commissioned Jan. 16, 2019. The plant is capable of producing 650,000-660,000 tons of urea products annually.
