Kazakhstan's trade turnover within EAEU down

The value of mutual trade between Kazakhstan and other countries of Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) amounted to $14.7 billion during January-September 2019, which is 1.2 percent less compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the data of Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Furthermore, $10.3 billion of the sum account for import (decrease of 0.4 percent), whereas $4.4 billion account for export (decrease of 2.8 percent).

Russia leads by value of trade turnover with Kazakhstan in the structure of total trade turnover with EAEU countries (92.3 percent in the total share) Four percent account for Kyrgyzstan and 3.6 percent account for Belarus.

The largest part of imports accounts for machinery, equipment, vehicles and tools category with indicator of 26.7 percent of the total import. Some 16.6 percent account for metals and articles of them, 15.7 percent account for products of chemical and related industries.

Furthermore, 13.9 percent of the import account for products of animal and vegetable origin, including prepared food items, 12 percent account for mineral products. Lastly, 15.1 percent account for other import.

In turn, the major part of the export structure (39.9 percent) accounts for mineral products. Furthermore, 27.7 percent account for metals and articles of them, 12.7 percent account for products of chemical and related industries, 10.2 percent account for products of animal and vegetable origin, including prepared food items, 7.4 percent account for machinery, equipment, vehicles and tools, and 2.1 percent account for other goods and products.

The Eurasian Economic Union is an international organization for regional economic integration. It has international legal personality and is established by the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union.

The EAEU provides for free movement of goods, services, capital and labor, pursues coordinated, harmonized and single policy in the sectors determined by the Treaty and international agreements within the Union.
