Khatam Al-Anbia Construction Headquarters pays it taxes, despite the government's significant debt to us, the IRGC-KAA Commander Saeed Mohammad said, Trend reports citing ILNA.

"Last year we paid $95 million in taxes," he said. "KAA pays more taxes than the companies in the private sector."

Mohammad said that the subsidiary companies of KAA have been paying taxes all along, but part of the KAA was tax-exempt for up to 2011.

“Relying on domestic capacity, the KAA was able to replace foreign companies, to help Iran overcome dependency on gasoline imports,” he added.

He then spoke about the Persian Gulf Star Condensate Refinery in Bandar Abbas and the KAA's involvement with it.

“The enemy had planned to sanction gasoline imports to Iran, but due to the establishment of Persian Gulf Star's gasoline production line and self-sufficiency in the gasoline production, we evaded that," he said.

KAA commander said that 70 percent of the equipment and components of the Persian Gulf Star project is domestically produced.
