Last year, Goychay Sud OJSC, a dairy and fruit juices producer in Azerbaijan’s Goychay district, produced dairy products worth over 215,000 manat ($126,470), a source in the company told Trend.
Of this amount, over 180,000 manat ($105,882) accounted for the wholesale sale of dairy products, and the rest of the volume of products accounted for the retail sale, according to the source.
“Every day, the company produces 700-720 tons of dairy products,” the source added. “Cheese accounted for more than 150 tons of this volume last year. Dairy production volumes have increased due to the opening of a new cheese production line, so the production increased by 40-45 percent compared to 2019.”
The source also noted that the dairy products of the company are sold in the domestic market and aren’t intended for export.
“The greatest demand is for cheese under the Chanakh brand,” the source added. “The production of this type of cheese is planned to be more than doubled this year.”
The company is operating at full capacity and is using modern Swiss and Italian equipment.
