Uzbekistan’s Minister of Innovative Development, Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov held talks with the representatives of the Chinese Aerospace Long-March International Trade Co (ALIT), Trend reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Innovative Development.
The parties discussed issues of cooperation in the field of astronautics, unmanned aerial vehicles, and the defense industry.
“As part of the meeting, an agreement was reached to promote bilateral cooperation in the study and development of space and satellite technologies. In particular, internships and trainings for Uzbek specialists in China will be organized,” the ministry said.
Moreover, cooperation is provided for the implementation of joint projects in the field of satellite technology and remote sensing of land with the participation of responsible ministries and departments.
ALIT is a specialized company of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), authorized to import and export aerospace products and services and create national satellite communications systems based on its own communications satellite.
CASC is one of the Fortune Global 500 companies, founded July 1, 1999. CASC turnover in 2018 amounted to $36 billion. Currently, CASC is the only satellite communications and broadcasting operator in China.
