Georgian company expands product range under Nena brand

Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking Agro Keda LLC, known for jams, compotes and other fruit and berry products, plans to establish the production of canned vegetables under the Nena brand, Trend reports citing the Georgian media.

According to company representatives, it is planned to expand production and introduce a new line of canned vegetables.

The company noted that the sale and quantity of exported goods in Georgia in 2019 increased.

“The share of exports in the total volume of our products in 2019 more than tripled. In addition, we have expanded the geography of exports. Last year, the products of our company were exported to the US, United Arab Emirates, Israel, Canada and Latvia. We strive to bring brand recognition to the international level and further expand the geography of exports,” the company said.

The company, located in the Chokhataur Municipality of the Guri region, has two plants - in Keda and Chokhatauri.

The company opened in 2015, as part of the state-owned project “Produce in Georgia”. Agro Keda LLC produces 500,000 bottles of stewed fruit per year, however, according to the director of the company Gia Salukvadze, the production capacity of the enterprise allows producing up to a million bottles.
