Value of kiwi exports from Iran's Mazandaran province revealed

Kiwis worth $ 9.2 million were exported through the customs of Mazandaran Province in northern Iran over 11 months of the current year (March 21, 2019 - February 19, 2020), Trend reports citing Iran's Customs Administration.

The value of kiwi exports increased by 171 percent compared to the same period last year.

The weight of kiwi exported through Sari (Shahr-e-Tajan and Shari-e-Taja) and Nosahr customs was more than 12,300 tons and exports increased by 191 percent.

Kiwi has been exported to a number of countries, including India, Uzbekistan, Bahrain, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russia and Spain.

The Iranian Customs noted that 134,000 tonnes of kiwi worth more than $ 96 million have been exported in the past 11 months. Mazandaran province's customs ranked third among 44 active Iranian customs in terms of the kiwi exports.
