The state-owned glass factory located in Azerbaijan’s Garadagh district has been operating at full capacity from February 2020, and as a result, its production volumes were much higher compared to the previous months of 2020 and the year of 2019, director of the enterprise Fakhraddin Guliyev told Trend.
According to the director, manufacturing volumes of the glass products exceeded 7 million bottles.
“This is very high result. In fact, March can be considered as record for the production figures. At the same time, 16 million glass bottles were produced in three months of this year. The enterprise is capable of producing a maximum of 8 million glass bottles per month, and approximately 80 million and more glass bottles per year," Guliyev said.
The director noted that the glass production volumes in the past year didn’t exceed 35 million bottles per year.
The Garadagh glass factory, founded in 2018, is one of the enterprises of the Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation.
The factory, provided with modern Italian equipment, is located on a 22-hectare-area. It has the biggest production potential in the region.
Most of the raw materials are imported from Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and other countries.
