Kazakhstan increases production of some precious metals

Manufacturing volume of non-processed and semi-processed silver in Kazakhstan has amounted to 231,353 kg in 1Q2020, which is 0.5 percent more than during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

According to the data, non-processed and semi-processed silver production amounted to 102,857kg in Mar. 2020, which is 1.2 percent more than in Mar. 2019.

According to the data, manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed gold increased by 14 percent during reporting months having amounted to 25,757 kg (9,682 kg in Mar. 2020, increase by 19.4 percent compared to Mar. 2019).

Production of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide amounted to 401,061 tons during the reporting period, which indicates an increase by 1.2 percent compared to the same period of last year. The production volume of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide was 131,161 tons in Mar. 2020, which is 2.7 percent less than in Mar. 2019.

Manufacturing of non-processed refined lead amounted to 30,511 tons over 1Q2020, which is 6.1 percent less than during the same period of 2019. The volume of non-processed refined lead produced in Mar. 2020 was 9,655 tons, which is 15.4 percent less than in Mar. 2019.

Production of non-processed zinc amounted to 81,666 tons, which is 1.9 percent more than during the same period of 2019 (27,769 tons in Mar. 2020, decrease by 1.4 percent compared to Mar. 2019).

As reported, manufacturing of non-processed non-alloyed refined copper amounted to 124,067 tons, which is 8.7 percent more than during the same period of 2019 (43,752 tons in Mar. 2020, increase by 9.2 percent compared to Mar. 2019).

Manufacturing of other non-ferrous metals and products from them amounted to 13,586 tons, which is 18.3 percent more than during the same period of 2019 (4,954 tons in Mar. 2020, decrease by 0.1 percent compared to Mar. 2019).
