Inflation rate in Kazakhstan amounted to 0.9 percent in Apr.2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Growth of consumer prices in Kazakhstan amounted to 0.9 percent during the reporting month, compared to Mar. 2020 and by 6.8 percent compared to Apr. 2019.
Prices of industrial manufacturers decreased by 11 percent in Apr. 2020, compared to Mar. 2020 and by 13.4 compared to Apr. 2019. Goods of industrial purpose increased in price by 0.7 percent in a month and by 7.9 percent in a year.
Prices in construction sector dropped by 1.1 percent in Apr. compared to Mar. 2020 (increase by 0.9 percent compared to Apr.2019), whereas agricultural goods prices increased by 1 percent compared to Mar. 2020 (by 12.9 percent compared to Apr. 2019).
At the same time, tariffs for cargo transport via all types of vehicles increased by 1.8 percent month-on-month and by 4.2 percent year-on-year.
Tariffs for postal and courier services for legal entities and tariffs for communication services for March remained on the March level, however they went up by 1.9 percent and 1.2 percent respectively compared to Apr. 2019.
Wholesale prices also remained flat month-on-month, but increased by 2.5 percent compared to Apr. 2019.
