Applying taxes on auto sale revenues is on the agenda of Iran's Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, an official with the ministry, Sadekh Niyaraki said, Trend reports via ILNA.

He added that the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade will follow measures to control auto market and production.

"Meetings have been held in the past two weeks between the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade and other monitoring organizations to reach a common opinion on managing the auto production and the auto market as a whole," Niyaraki said.

The official noted that the auto production has increased in the second half of the past Iranian year (started March 21, 2019) and there are forecasts saying there's more production growth to be expected in the current Iranian year (began March 20,2020)," he said.

Niyaraki pointed out that Iran's automakers will be offering 75,000 vehicles through pre-sales next week.

"The auto pre-sale lottery plan would equally distribute vehicles to consumers," he added.

"It is predicted that three more auto pre-sale sessions are to be held until the end of current Iranian year(started March 20,2020)," he added.

Niyaraki pointed out that despite sanctions, Iran's auto industry managed to overcome problems with the help of the government and the Central Bank of Iran.
