Turkmenistan aims to close deals with foreign companies for the purchase of pest control chemicals, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree according to which country’s Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection is allowed to conclude contracts with relevant foreign companies in order to purchase chemicals for pest control.
The mentioned measures are taken to protect crops from diseases and pests.
The harvest of winter wheat has begun in some regions of the country. Special mobile mechanical repair teams will serve farmers within 24 hours, providing them with fuel, combustive and lubricating materials, and spare parts for machinery. More than 11,000 trucks allocated by various ministries and industry departments will ensure the delivery of wheat to 156 receiving points, barns and elevators. Also, Turkmenstandartlary Main State Service will determine the quality of incoming grain.
