The number of purchases and sales of real estate in Kazakhstan amounted to 88,646 transactions over the period from Jan. to May 2020, which is 22.8 percent less than during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Total number of buy/sell transactions implemented in Kazakhstan in May 2020 amounted to 17,210 which is 2.3 times more than in Apr. 2020 and 37.4 percent less than during the same month of 2019.
The largest number of transactions was observed in Almaty city where it amounted to 2,287 transactions, which is 4 times more than in Apr. 2020 and 51.5 percent less than in May 2019.
Almaty is followed by Karaganda region with 2,250 transactions, which is 2.8 times more than during Apr. 2020 and 21.1 percent less than in May 2019.
Nur-Sultan city takes the third place (2,086 transactions in May 2020), showing a six-time increase compared to Apr. 2020 and a 41-percent decrease compared to May 2019.
The least number of purchase and sale of housing transactions during May 2020 was observed in Atyrau region (336 transactions, increase by 2.4 times compared to Apr.2020 and by 48.7 percent compared to May 2019),
