Gold recovery plant construction progress in Kazakhstan revealed

Commissioning works of a new Dolinnoye gold recovery plant is underway in Kazakhstan’s Karaganda region, representative of Kazakhstan’s AK Altynalmas JSC told Trend.

Dolinnoe plant is the fourth factory of AK Altynalmas JSC to be built and launched over the past 10 years. Eurasian Development Bank was the project’s financing bank.

The work on plant commissioning began in May 2020.

The company said that the goal is to prepare for trouble-free and safe start-up of production and launch the plant’s operations.

The plant’s operational capacity is 2.5 million tons of ore a year or 320 tons an hour.

“The full cycle of the technological process is controlled and monitored using the SCADA automated control system, which will increase the end-to-end productivity of the mill and even more rationally use the resources,” the company said.

AK Altynalmas JSC performs operations on subsoil use in a variety of gold ore deposits including deposits of Akbakai area in Zhambyl region as well as Dolinnoye field, Pustynnoye deposit and Karyernyi site in Karaganda region.

The company earlier reported plans to extract up to 2.5 million tons of gold ore at the Dolinnoye field starting from 2020.
