Iran discloses value of animal products exported from Semnan Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 29

The animal and veterinary products worth $2.4 million were exported from Semnan Province (northern Iran) during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 20-June 20, 2020), said Hamidreza Hosseini Director General of Iran Veterinary Organization’s (IVO) branch in Semnan Province, Trend reports citing the organization.

According to Hosseini, the export value of animal products increased by 20 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Hosseini added that the products were exported to Hong Kong, Iraq and a number of European countries.

"More than $8.3 million worth of animal products and vet medicine were exported from the province in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020)," he said.

According to the report, two types of veterinary medicines worth $48,200 were exported to Afghanistan and five types of veterinary medicines worth $30,200 were exported to Azerbaijan.
