TEHRAN, Iran, July. 7
Trend:
Iran's Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian announced the wrap up of 3 new projects in the electricity sector, Trend reports citing IRNA.
The projects include a 185-km transmission and distribution line, a change of conductors, and laying 96 km of fiber optic cables.
All the mentioned projects were carried out through a $71 million credit, the minister said.
Ardakanian praised efforts to replace the self-supporting cables instead of the worn-out network parts, as it is part of protecting the environment from using outdated equipment.
Ardakanian also went on to say that neighboring countries could use this experience of Iran to enhance and improve their own networks.
