Amount of receipts on VAT in Azerbaijani state budget up

The amount of receipts on VAT in the Azerbaijani state budget increased by 1.8 percent from January through June 2020 compared to the period from January through June 2019 and reached 1.4 billion manat ($823 million), Trend reports referring to the Committee.

The volume of customs duties transferred to the Azerbaijani state budget on an annualized basis increased by 0.09 percent from January through June 2020 compared to the same period of 2019 and amounted to 484.4 million manat ($284 million).

In accordance with the data, 2.01 billion manat ($1.2 billion) were transferred to the Azerbaijani state budget through the State Customs Committee from January through June 2020, which was 2.2 percent less compared to the same period of last year.

The amount of receipts on excise taxes decreased by 2.06 times to 66.7 million manat ($39.2 million) and on road tax - by 7.8 percent up to 18.7 million manat ($11 million).

The goals of the State Customs Committee are to protect the Azerbaijani sovereignty, economic and national security, as well as improve the social well-being of people, promote the international trade, ensure the collection of customs payments and transfer them to the state budget, as well as prevent the fraud in the field of customs and fight against international terrorism.
