Price of apartments in capital of Iran rises

The average price of an apartment in 22 districts of the Iran’s capital Tehran was 181.5 million rials (about $4,321) per square meter during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 20-July 21, 2020), Trend reports citing Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran.

According to the report, this is an increase of 41.9 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year (127.9 million rials - about $3,045).

“The average price of an apartment per square meter in Tehran was 209.8 million rials (about $4,996) in the 4th month (June 21-July 21, 2020). This is an increase of 54.1 percent compared to the same month of the last Iranian year (136.1 million rials - about $ 3,241) and 10 percent compared to the third month of current Iranian year (190.7 million rials - about $4,450), the report said.

The highest buy/sell operations were registered in the 5th district of Tehran. Thus, 1,938 buy/sell operations were recorded. The average price of per square meter of apartment was sold for 261.7 million rials (about $6,230), according to the report.

“The most expensive apartment per square meter in Tehran was registered in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd districts. Thus, the price of per square meter of apartment in the 1st district was 453.1 million rials (about $10,789), in the 3rd district - 384.2 million rials (about $9,148), in the 2nd district - 324.9 million rials (about $7,736),” the report noted.

According to the report, the lowest price of apartment per square meter in Tehran was registered in the 17th, 18th and 20th districts.

Thus, the price of per square meter of apartment in the 18th district was 96.2 million rials (about $2,291), in the 20th district was 97.9 million rials (about $2,332) and in the 17th district was 105.7 million rials (about $2,517).
