Turkmen natural leather processing company starts exporting its products

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 19

The Turkmen Aksuv company for processing natural leather has started exporting its products, Trend reports with reference to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.

The first batch of leather produced at the company has already been sent to Italy, and preparations are underway for the next shipment to this country, the union said.

Aksuv also cooperates with local manufacturers and supplies its products to small and medium-sized enterprises of Turkmenistan.

As reported, the range of textile products in the country will be expanded by establishing the production of corduroy fabric, various types of non-woven material-spunbond, spunlace, hollofayber, curtains, as well as sintepon, carpet.

It is planned to improve the production of artificial leather and haberdashery products-lace, zippers, elastic bands, leather belts.

Turkmenistan annually grows more than 1 million tons of cotton, which serves as a raw material base for the development of the textile industry.

More than $300 million are planned to be allocated for the implementation of more than 30 projects for the development of the textile industry in Turkmenistan until 2025.
