Value of exports from Iran's Maragheh County revealed

A total of $23.5 million worth of goods produced in the Maragheh County of East Azerbaijan Province (northwestern Iran) were exported to 30 countries during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21, 2020), Director of Maragheh County Customs Office, Heidar Jalalzadeh told IRNA, Trend reports.
According to Jalalzadeh, the volume of exported goods amounted to 29,500 tons.
He added that the exported goods were mainly chemicals, agricultural goods, glass, mirror, sodium carbonate, raisins, and dates.
The director emphasized that these goods were mainly exported to Iraq, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, and Turkey.
As many as 44,900 tons of industrial and agricultural goods worth $25.6 million were exported from Iran's Maragheh County in the same period last Iranian year.
In total, $52 million worth of products were exported from Iran's Maragheh County in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2019, to March 20, 2020).
Maragheh County has a population of 268,000. The county has the potential to export non-oil products, including industrial and agricultural goods.
