A total of 16.7 million tons of goods worth 1.16 quadrillion rials (about $27.6 billion) were sold at Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) during the first 6 months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21, 2020), Trend reports citing IME’s official portal.
According to the report, 12 tons of agricultural goods (saffron, etc.) worth 924 billion rials (about $22 million) were sold at the IME.
During the reporting period, 229,000 tons of mining materials worth 5.38 trillion rials (about $128 million) were sold at the exchange,” the report added.
“In addition, 6.03 million tons of industrial goods worth 625 trillion rials (about $14.9 billion) were sold at the IME over six months, the report said.
According to the report, 10.3 million tons of petrochemical products worth 528 trillion rials (about $12.5 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile exchange in the same period.
“At the same time, real estate properties worth 186 billion rials (about $4.42 million) were sold at the IME within 6 months,” the report noted.
As many as 60,800 tons of other goods worth 2.37 trillion rials (about $56.5 million) were sold in the submarket section of the Iran Mercantile Exchange, the report said.
