Foreign investments value in Azerbaijani fixed assets increase

Foreign enterprises and organizations allocated 3.32 billion manat ($1.9 billion) to fixed assets in Azerbaijan from Jan,. through Aug. 2020, which exceeds the figure for the same period in 2019 by 31 percent, Trend reports citing Azerbaijani Statistics Committee.

The data said that 2.903 billion manat or $1.7 billion (87.3 percent) of funds directed to fixed assets at the expense of foreign countries and international organizations belong to investors from the UK, US, Turkey, Japan, Switzerland, Malaysia, Norway, Russia and Iran.

"In August 2020, funds allocated to fixed assets from domestic sources amounted to 663.5 million manat ($390.2 million) or 60.6 percent of all funds allocated to fixed assets," the committee said.

According to the State Statistics Committee, in August 2020, funds allocated to fixed assets from external sources amounted to 430.6 million manat ($253.2 million), or 39.4 percent of all funds allocated to fixed assets.

Foreign enterprises and organizations allocated 2.52 billion manat ($1.4 billion) to the fixed capital of Azerbaijan in Aug. 2020.
