Turkmenistan will sign an additional agreement with UNICEF for the purchase of Premix food additive, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan was allowed to sign the above-mentioned agreement by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Premiks will be purchased for adding to the composition of wheat flour produced in 2021.
Earlier, a long-term memorandum of understanding was signed between Turkmenistan and UNICEF, on the basis of which Premiks, consisting of a mixture of folic acid and iron sulfate, is currently added to wheat flour produced in Turkmenistan.
Earlier, the Executive Board of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) approved the country program of Turkmenistan for 2021-2025, aimed at supporting the government in fulfilling its obligations to protect and implement children's rights.
