By Jeila Aliyeva - Trend:

Turkmenistan’s Sabat Open Joint-Stock Company, located in the Dashoguz region of the country, has produced milk and dairy products totaling more than 5 million Turkmen manat ($1.4 million) since the beginning of this year, Trend reports with reference to the Business Turkmenistan information portal.

In October, the company processed 100 tons of milk, and the production volume is equal to 800,000 manat ($228,758) in monetary terms.

The company produces 20 types of products, such as butter, cheese, cottage cheese, kefir, sour cream.

Currently, Sabat is building a livestock farm, the first stage of which has already been put into operation and is designed for the maintenance of 1,300 heads of cattle.

Thus, Turkmenistan's sectoral structure of agriculture is expanding due to the development of entrepreneurship, which accounts for 83 percent of the country's livestock production. New conditions are being created for activating the farm business in meat and dairy production.

This year, 208 members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan were allocated land plots for the construction of livestock and poultry complexes.
