Iran, Qatar look to expand relations in water, electricity sectors

The Ministry of Energy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation stressed the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation, Trend reports via IRNA.

The Deputy Minister of Energy for International Affairs Mohammad Ali Farahnakian met with Essa bin Hilal AL-Kuwari - the President of Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation to discuss the mentioned issue.

During the meeting, it was decided to pursue the previous discussions between the Qatari company and Iranian Ministry of Energy.

According to IRNA, Iranian Energy Minister arrived in Doha to deliver the message of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Emir of Qatar.

Reza Ardakanian met with Qatari Minister of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Economic Cooperation Commission Ali Al-Kuwari and other senior economic and political officials of this country.

The development of economic relations and planning to hold the seventh meeting of the joint commission of Iran and Qatar as soon as possible was the topic of discussion between the Energy Minister of Iran and the Qatari authorities.

A joint commission on Iran-Qatar cooperation is scheduled to be held by the end of this year.
