UAE, Afghanistan buy Turkmen-made base oil

Entrepreneurs from the UAE, Panama, and Afghanistan purchased in foreign currency aviation kerosene, gasoline, hydrotreated diesel fuel, and base oil manufactured at Turkmenistan’s Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries last week during the trading on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.

In addition, entrepreneurs from the UAE also bought urea and polyethylene in foreign currency and representatives of the United Kingdom – ESO-93 gasoline.

Also, entrepreneurs from Russia, the US, the UAE, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan purchased colorless flat glass, denim, dyed terry products, and cotton yarn in foreign currency.

In addition, the Tesla Model X electric car for 70,000 Euros was the subject of a transaction of entrepreneurs from Switzerland.

The total amount of transactions on the exchange in foreign currency exceeded $9, 6 million.

Transactions in Turkmen manat were also made on the exchange. Thus, entrepreneurs from Scotland, the UAE, Turkey, and Kazakhstan purchased cotton yarn for a total amount of more than $27.4 million Turkmen manat ($7.8 million).

Turkmen businessmen purchased high-density polyethylene and polypropylene, hand-made carpets, and cotton fiber for the total amount of about 79 million manat ($22.5 million).

In total, 253 transactions were registered on the exchange last week.

The state commodity exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important agency of state regulation of export-import operations.
