Turkmenistan sells diesel fuel, polypropylene on State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange

Entrepreneurs from Russia, the UAE, Turkey, Afghanistan, Panama, Malta and Uzbekistan purchased gasoline, mixed paraffin gach, aviation and lighting kerosene, diesel fuel, polypropylene produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries of Turkmenistan in foreign currency, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.

In addition, entrepreneurs from Russia and Afghanistan also purchased polyethylene and liquefied gas in foreign currency.

Also, Russia, China, the UAE, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan bought colorless flat glass, smooth-colored and jacquard terry products, cotton fabric and yarn, and dried licorice roots and rhizomes in foreign currency.

The total amount of transactions on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange in foreign currency exceeded $48.3 million.

Transactions in Turkmen manat were also made on the exchange. Entrepreneurs from Russia, the UAE, Turkey, Scotland, Pakistan, and Kazakhstan purchased cotton yarn.

The amount of the above-mentioned transactions amounted to more than 16.8 million manat ($4.8 million).

For the domestic market, local businessmen purchased polypropylene and hand-made carpets for a total amount of over 21 million manat ($5.9 million).

In total, 126 transactions were registered on the exchange last week.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important agency of state regulation of export-import operations
