Georgia's GNERC finalizes investment plans for 2021-2023

The Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC) finalized the investment plans for 2021-2023 with Georgian Water & Power and Rustavi Water companies, Trend reports via Georgian media.

The GNERC reported that the two companies would invest 166 million lari ($50.5 million) for the next three years to improve water supply systems in Tbilisi, Rustavi, and Mtskheta.

The project will ensure non-stop supply and quality of water in these cities.

The Georgian Water & Power will invest 149 million lari ($45.4 million) for infrastructure rehabilitation works and installation of filtration systems in Tbilisi and 6.5 million lari ($1.9 million) in Mtskheta, while Rustavi Water – 10.5 million lari ($3.2 million) in Mtskheta.

Meanwhile, the Georgian National Energy and Water Communication Regulatory Commission have established natural gas tariffs for a long-term period.

The tariffs will take effect from July 1, 2020, and be in force to January 1, 2023, said the commission.

The tariff for the consumers of SOCAR Georgia Gas remained unchanged and equals 56.928 tetri/m3 (18.69 cents/m3).
