ADB implements Trade and Supply Chain Finance Program in Georgia

Asian Development Bank (ADB) works with a number of financial institutions in Georgia to provide long-term financing, often in local currency, for on-lend to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to improve access to finance, the ADB told Trend.

According to the source, ADB has also supported a number of Georgian financial institutions with technical assistance.

"ADB currently has two transactions with Credo Bank, one supporting affordable housing finance as well as the recent transaction supporting agriculture borrowers," the bank noted.

As the bank noted, in Georgia, ADB has worked with TBC Bank, Bank of Georgia, Credo Bank, Basis Bank and Finca Bank. Transactions focused on MSME and agriculture finance, as well as affordable housing.

"In addition, ADB’s Trade and Supply Chain Finance Program is active in Georgia," the source said.
