More than 142,000 facilities were put into operation in Iran in connection with the employment of peasants and nomads yesterday on Feb. 8, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare of Iran.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Iranian Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare Mohammad Shariatmadari and other officials attended the commissioning of the facilities in online format.
According to the report, a total of 170 trillion rials (about $4.04 billion) was spent on these facilities.
“More than 263,000 peasants and nomads were provided with jobs with the commissioning of the facilities,” the report said.
About 16,400 of these facilities will operate in services, 92,300 in agriculture and 33,500 in the industrial sectors, the report said.
