BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 26
By Fidan Babayeva - Trend:
The export of fruits and vegetables from Azerbaijan has exceeded $37 million since early 2021, which is slightly less than in the same period of 2020, Head of the Association of Producers and Exporters of Fruits and Vegetables Bashir Guliyev told Trend on Feb. 26.
“Since the beginning of the year, the volume of export exceeded 34,500 tons, which is by 8 percent less than in the same period of last year,” Guliyev added.
"A decrease in export from Azerbaijan is not beneficial, first of all, to farmers, as they incur losses,” head of the association added. “This year we also plan to establish cooperation with new countries."
