Kazakhstan boosts gold production year-on-year

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed silver in Kazakhstan has amounted to 174,043 kg over the period from Jan. through Feb. 2021, which is 35.5 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

According to the data, non-processed and semi-processed silver production amounted to 80,347 kg in Feb. 2021, which is 7.5 percent less than in Feb. 2020.

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed gold increased by 22 percent during the reporting months, having amounted to 19,412 kg (9,705 kg in Feb. 2021, increase by 20.9 percent compared to Feb. 2020).

Production of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide amounted to 255,627 tons during the reporting period, which indicates a decrease of 2.4 percent compared to the same period of last year. The production volume of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide was 122,491 tons in Feb. 2021, which is 4.6 percent less than in Feb. 2020.

Manufacturing of non-processed refined lead amounted to 17,590 tons over the reporting period, which is 15.4 percent less than during the same period of 2020. The volume of non-processed refined lead produced in Feb. 2021 was 17,590 tons, which is 10.5 percent less than in Feb. 2020.

Production of non-processed zinc amounted to 51,057 tons, which is 2 percent more than during the same period of 2020 (24,535 tons in Feb. 2021, decrease by 5.8 percent compared to Feb. 2020).

As reported, the manufacturing of non-processed non-alloyed refined copper amounted to 81,938 tons, which is 2 percent more than during the same period of 2020 (40,986 tons in Feb. 2021, up by 4.9 percent compared to Feb. 2020).

Manufacturing of other non-ferrous metals and products from them amounted to 3,940 tons, which is 54.4 percent less than during the same period of 2020 (2,294 tons in Feb. 2021, decrease by 44.9 percent compared to Feb. 2020).
