Switzerland buys products of Turkmenbashi Oil Refinery via exchange

Switzerland purchased gasoline for foreign currency, produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries of Turkmenistan during trading on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week, Trend reports with reference to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

In addition, businessmen from Turkey purchased polyethylene in foreign currency, while the UAE and Kyrgyzstan - terry products.

The total amount of transactions on the exchange in foreign currency exceeded $11.5 million.

Transactions were also made on the exchange in Turkmen manat. Thus, entrepreneurs from the UAE bought cotton yarn for a total of 665,000 Turkmen manats ($189,805).

In addition, Turkmen businessmen purchased cotton fiber for the domestic market in the amount of more than $75.8 million manat ($21.6 million).

In general, 7 transactions were registered on the exchange last week.

As reported, more than 143 transactions were registered on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan in March 2021.

During the first week of March, 18 deals were made, during the second – 31, the third – 34, and the fourth - 60 deals.

The State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
