Iran's trade turnover through Amirabad customs announced

Iran’s trade turnover through the Amirabad customs of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) amounted to 1.33 million tons worth about $672 million in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

So, Iran exported 517,000 tons of goods worth $20.8 million through the Amirabad customs. The exported goods were mainly cement, mining materials, chemicals, rubber, tobacco products, potatoes and etc. These goods have been exported to Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan, Iraq, Afghanistan and other countries.

Moreover, Iran imported 819,000 tons of goods worth $651 million through Amirabad customs. The imported goods were mainly barley, animal feed, oilseeds, chemicals, wood materials and so on. These goods were imported from Russia, Germany, Turkey, UAE, Kazakhstan and others.

At the same time, more than 37,000 tons of goods worth $20 million were transited through the Amirabad customs of Iran. The transited goods were mainly cast iron, cigarettes, petroleum coke and chemicals. These goods were transited from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, China and Russia to the UAE, Azerbaijan, Pakistan and free trade zones of Iran.

The revenues of the Amirabad customs amounted to 2.28 trillion rials (about $54.3 million) in the last Iranian year.
