Iran's propane gas exports shrink

Iran's propane gas exports decreased by 30 percent in terms of value and 9.1 percent in terms of volume in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, through March 20, 2021), compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019, through March 19, 2020), Trend reports citing the statistics of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

According to statistics, Iran exported 2.97 million tons of propane worth about $971 million within the last Iranian year.

“The exports of propane gas accounted for 2.77 percent of Iran's total exports over the last Iranian year in terms of value and 2.62 percent in terms of volume,” the statistics said.

However, Iran had exported 3.27 million tons of propane gas worth $1.39 billion in the preceding Iranian year, the statistics said.

As reported, 10 products worth $13.7 billion accounted for 39 percent of Iran's total exports worth about $35 billion over last Iranian year.

Iran's total foreign trade turnover amounted to about 146 million tons worth $73 billion in the last Iranian year. During this period, Iran exported 112 million tons of goods worth about $35 billion and imported 33.4 million tons worth $38.4 billion.
