By Nargiz Sadikhova - Trend:

A total of 845 agriculture projects with the creation of 500,000 jobs will be implemented in Kazakhstan to develop the country’s rural area before 2025, Trend reports citing the press office of the government.

The topic of the country’s rural development was discussed during the governmental meeting held on Apr. 20.

The large-scale modernization of the 3,500 settlements with high development potential, where 87 percent of the rural population lives (7 million people) is planned within the implementation of the Nur-Otan ruling party’s election program.

First and foremost the modernization of the existing infrastructure is planned to improve the quality of the rural population.

Within the framework of the 845 agriculture projects, the creation of 7 farm eco-systems is planned.

Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Askar Mamin instructed the Ministry of National Economy to ensure coordination of work on the integrated development of rural areas with appropriate indicators and a unified approach.

The Ministry of Agriculture, together with the Baiterek National Management Holding JSC and the regional akimats (administrative centers), were instructed to ensure stable financing of the agro-industrial complex, taking into account the increase in the need for loans in rural areas, as well as the implementation of all planned projects.

The ministries of industry, energy, health, education and culture, together with the regional akimats, were instructed to take all necessary measures and ensure the achievement of target indicators for the development of rural areas by 2025.
