Exports from Iran's Yazd Province down

The exports from the Yazd Province (central Iran) decreased by 11 percent in terms of value and increased by 7 percent in terms of volume in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through March 20, 2020), Director General of Yazd Province Customs Office, Mohammad Hossein Salmani said, Trend report citing Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

According to Salmani, 3.09 million tons of goods worth $380 million were exported from Yazd Province over last Iranian year.

“The province's goods were mainly exported to Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Pakistan, the UAE, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Thailand, Kazakhstan and India. The exported goods were mainly ceramics, hydrocarbons, sheet glass, glassware, petrochemicals and agricultural products,” he said.

The director general added that moreover, 56,700 tons of goods worth $194 million were imported to Iran's Yazd Province during last Iranian year.

Salmani noted that the imported goods were mainly raw materials for manufacturing enterprises, equipment and spare parts.
