The 4-star Golden Tulip Hotel in Georgian's Tbilisi will open this fall, Trend reports via Georgian media.
The hotel’s inauguration ceremony was postponed several times, as some reports said, due to financial difficulties. At a later stage, the project's financing was backed up by TBC Bank.
According to Tornike Janashvili, CEO of the investment company Block Invest, the main construction work has been finished, the wrap up is expected this summer.
This will be the first Golden Tulip hotel in the Georgian capital, which will include 11 floors and 78 rooms. The hotel will have a terrace, a conference hall, a restaurant, a lounge bar.
"We could've finished the project a lot earlier, but the inauguration of the hotel would've been useless, considering the COVID-19 pandemic," Janashvili said. "We're seeing an increase in incoming tourists, so the situation should improve by autumn."
